INTRO FOR NEW MA DESIGN STUDENTS

How do we, as designers, engage with societal challenges and change? How do you envision future design competencies, work practices and forms of organization? In this course, we take a wide view of design and of design in Finland (during Suomi100). You will encounter a variety of contemporary design perspectives as well as opportunities for emerging and future design roles. You will meet all the new master’s students in the Department of Design and collaborate to put your visions into practice – prototype your ideal future design organization!

PERSONAL PROJECT CONFERENCE

Welcome to the Personal Project conference 2017! Once a year, in the conference, second-year MA Design students present their Personal Projects, and new MA Design students get information to start up their Personal Project. The Personal Project course is a one year journey around a theme of your choice, supported by tutors and the multidisciplinary context of Aalto University. In the course, you develop your professional competence, individuality, self-discipline and – most important – curiosity!
